Breathing Space Scotland
 |
“Breathing Space is delighted once more to sponsor the MHFS 10k for Men for the fifth year in a row. The race is a fun and rewarding way for men from around the country to help keep themselves not only physically well – but mentally well.
"Breathing Space encourages men to talk about how they're feeling, but also aims to help them find ways to boost mental wellbeing and recover from mental ill health. Physical activity can play a crucial role in both.
"We'd urge any man experiencing difficulty in his life not only to open up to someone close to them – or a phone line such as Breathing Space – but also to think about how exercise can benefit his experience of life.
"If you've never done a 10k before and are worried you'd struggle, the MHFS can give you advice. New runners of all ages and abilities join every year and make it across the finish line to cheers from the crowd.
"So why not get those trainers on, take some time out for yourself, and get jogging or walking on the road towards better physical and mental wellbeing? Get your breathing space at the Men's 10k 2010."

“I’m really looking forward to taking part in the 2010 Men’s Health Forum Scotland 10K. Every runner has their own story and reasons for running this race; personally, I like a good challenge! 2010 is the start of a new decade and I think turning over a new leaf to get fit can only be a good thing! I'm looking forward to the different ways I'm going to train for this event, my rollerblades are going to be dusted off and a lot more five a side football with the Real Radio team will definitely be on the cards for helping me to prepare!"
