Working with the Media (doc)
How to maximise your chances of securing positive media coverage for your event. Written for NMHW2005 by Peter Baker, Director of MHF England and Wales (and adapted for NMHW06 by MHFS) who was himself a successful health journalist for many years.
Mental Health Media produce a wide range of video and new media training materials and offer media skills training courses and advice to mental health service users.
The importance of your health promotion activity during NMHW2006 to reflect and mainstream the specific needs of various groups of men cannot be underestimated. Therefore, we have created a specific area of the resource pack to support your work in this area, which also includes the contact details of key organisations who will be able to give further support.

Mental Health Promotion Tool Kit
The Mental Health Promotion Tool Kit was produced in 1999 by the Canadian Mental Health Association, National Office. The kit is a comprehensive guide for communities that wish to undertake mental health promotion initiatives. It contains everything anyone would need to know about implementing a mental health promotion program, including examples, strategies, tips and tools.
Our colleagues in New Zealand have kindly sent us this link, to the resource pack they produced to support their mental health week. The theme was "Food and Mood", looking at the links between nutrition and mental health.
