This area of the resource pack aims to provide an overview of the issues in relation to gay, bisexual and transgender men and boys mental wellbeing. It has been designed to support health professionals to develop approaches that are sensitive to the specific concerns and needs of these communities.

Discrimination on the Grounds of Sexual Orientation (in the work place)
The definition of sexual orientation has a broad definition and is defined as: orientation towards persons of the same sex (gay men and lesbians), orientation towards persons of the opposite sex (heterosexual) or orientation towards a person of the same sex and the opposite sex (bi-sexual).

A Scotland wide project to challenge LGBT discrimination which ended in 2004 but there is still some useful information on the website.

A Scotland-wide HIV prevention initiative.

A voluntary sector policy organisation supporting the voluntary sector's work in the field of HIV.

 

LGBT Health Scotland
