Training
Two day course – 16th/17th September 2008
115 New Cavendish Street, London
By 2020, depression is expected to move from fourth to second place as the leading cause of disability in the world. This course will focus on the role of patient stories and recovery tools in coping with depression and aiding recovery. From the patient narrative, ultimately only patients can become experts on their own depression and recovery, and professionals can be ‘allies’ in recovery.
Who should attend?
The course will be advantageous to health and caring professionals, helping them to become better recovery ‘allies’; and learn about the wide variety of narrative tools to assist patients. Patients and services users will also find the course valuable in validating their experience and increasing their expertise.
