In training up north? Take on the jogscotland 5k challenge

 

The Healthy Working Lives jogscotland 5k challenges are not only packed full of fun, they also provide a perfect training run in the build up to the MHFS 10k for Men.

 

If you’re travelling to Glasgow’s Bellahouston Park for the 10k, why not head along to Aberdeen on Wednesday 9 June or Inverness on Wednesday 16 June, for a final training run.

 

There’s a whole host of reasons to use the Healthy Working Lives jogscotland 5k challenge as part of your training for the MHFS 10k for Men.

 

First of all, they are local events for anyone travelling from northern Scotland for the MHFS 10k for Men – perfect to practice running in a race environment.

 

What’s even better is the fact that the Healthy Working Lives jogscotland 5k challenges are held midweek, on summer evenings, making it is easy to fit in around your busy schedule – a training run which you can take your family along too!

 

And finally, it’s important to get a feel for the race environment before the big day, and a 5k race is perfect preparation.

 

Like the MHFS 10k for Men, at the Healthy Working Lives jogscotland 5k challenges, it’s ok to walk, jog or run it! It’s just all about getting out, having fun and being active.

Glasgow Parkrun

Parkrun is a free, weekly, timed 5k event held all over the UK - there are currently 2 local parkruns in Scotland; in Edinburgh and Glasgow and they're great fun and a perfect way to track your progress and meet other runners!
