National Men's Health Week

National Men’s Health Week (NMHW) runs each year in the week leading up to father’s day.  2010 will run between 14th June - 20th June with the theme being ‘physical activity’.

The main purpose of NMHW is to raise the profile of men’s health.  It is hoped to change men’s health-related behaviour, not least in terms of increasing their willingness to access health care and reducing the risks they take with their health, but also to promote men’s awareness of wider lifestyle issues that can have an impact on health.

MHFS 10k for Men 2010

MHFS will be organising the 5th 10k for Men which takes place on father's day every year (20th June 2010).  This provides a major focus for NMHW and brings together men from across Scotland and beyond and we hope that this will be a major annual date for both men's health and running in Scotland.
