Sexual Health Project

www.malehealthquestions.eu

This new web based research initiative from EMHF is a project on men's sexual health and we see your involvement as a crucial element in its success.

As an organisation that has an interest in men's health issues you will be aware that sexual health plays an important role in their well being.  Often though, due to the intimate nature of problems around sexual health and activity, men find it a difficult to seek support when they need it.  Many healthcare professionals also find this a difficult topic to discuss with their patients.  At policy level, there is little evidence of real action to improve this situation.

This project is not designed to duplicate or replace any of the great work already being done by men's health organisations, but as a complementary piece of research that aims:

  • To gather information from men across Europe on their main concerns around erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation.  Particular attention will be given to the type of language men use to discuss these issues, and any cultural differences between men of varying backgrounds.

  • To use this information to produce a report for use by health professionals and policy makers to aid them in dealing with men's sexual health.

  • To produce a publication for men to support them in looking after their sexual health.

The first main phase of work is getting men to suse the website.  At www.malehealthquestions.eu they can ask any question about erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation.  These will be answered by qualified health professionals in twelve European languages.

This is where your involvement is vital to successfully helping as many men as possible to tell us what's important to them on this aspect of their health.  By publicising this facility to your networks and through your normal channels of communication the number of men we can potentially reach will be largely increased.

Urologists with an interest, and experience, in the field of sexual dysfunction will answer the questions men ask on the website: so you can be sure that anyone you refer to use it will be given confidential and professional advice and information.  We will provide links to specilists service providers for men to seek further support.

Please help EMHF in this venture to improve men's health by telling as many people as possible about it.  If you would like more information on the project, please contact Tim Street.
